ATA5577 Card
The Atmel ATA5577 is the latest Atmel 125kHz transponder. This transponder is equipped with a configurable analog front end
and is reverse-compatible to the now obsolete Atmel ATA5551, ATA5557, and ATA5567 types in the most commonly used
modes. This enables the tag to be configured to work in a variety of circumstances such as a very high Q configuration. In
addition, this allows the Atmel ATA5577 to have industry-leading performance when used in an ISO11784/785 configuration.
This device should be considered for all new designs. Please visit the Atmel website for more information on what is required
when configuring the analog front end supported by the kit in the firmware

Low Frequency (LF) RFID is a band on the radio frequency spectrum that typically operates between 125 kHz and 134 kHz. Technically, LF applications can operate on a larger bandwidth from 30 kHz to 300 kHz; however, the specific band varies from country to country and depends on frequencies set aside for radio and marine life tracking.LF RFID communicates in a similar fashion to HF/NFC RFID in that it uses electromagnetic coupling to send and receive signals. Below are a few facts about LF RFID:1:Only small amounts of data can be stored on the tags.2:LF tags are typically smaller than other types of RFID tags.3:LF systems have shorter read ranges than both HF and UHF RFID.
